Bringing more smiles to children - Mindray Italy raises €9441 for the charity partner, Operation Smile Italia ETS

More children will have brand new smiles thanks to the fundraising efforts of staff at leading medical device manufacturer, Mindray Italy. The team took on the #MilesForSmiles virtual distance challenge to raise €9441 towards life- changing cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries by the global non-profit, Operation Smile.

Between 16th December 2024 ¨C 16th January 2025, the Mindray Italy team were challenged to stay as active as possible. Every km of activity that was logged in the challenge has secured a 1€ donation from Mindray to Operation Smile Italia ETS.

The Mindray Italy team walked, ran, biked, and took part in sports ranging from snowboarding to tennis to beat their original target of 6,750km ¨C the distance from Mindray Italy¡¯s office in Trezzano sul Naviglio to Operation Smile¡¯s Care Center in Addis Ababa.

In total, the team logged 9441km distance to secure a €9441 donation from Mindray to Operation Smile Italia ETS. The funds supported a multidisciplinary training program for Operation Smile¡¯s volunteer healthcare professionals from Ethiopia.

The fundraising activity forms part of a 10-year strategic partnership between Mindray and Operation Smile. The collaboration aims to improve the quality of healthcare and provide life-changing medical interventions to low-and-middle income communities worldwide.
